TAKING YOUR IMPRESSIONS
A great fitting replacement retainer or custom night guard starts with taking a great impression! Taking a bad impression will only result in a poor fitting appliance or being rejected by our smile team.
YOUR IMPRESSION KIT
Once you receive your impression kit. You will see blue putty and white putty. The white and blue putty will be mixed together to take your impressions with. It is also important to use the right tray for the corresponding jaw. Your upper jaw will require an upper tray and the lower jaw will require a lower tray.
MIXING YOUR PUTTY
Next you will need to properly mix your putty together. Take one color of each and mix until it is a solid blue color. Roll the putty in to cylinder shape and place in the tray. Use the imaginary bite line to gauge where you will need to bite into the putty. Once positioned, Insert tray into the mouth without moving the tray. Push the tray all the way up until your teeth almost touch the bottom of the tray
